How it Works

Restart your career

One of the hardest decisions you make will be to leave your mates in uniform. If you have already left and worked in civilian employment, you will know that you miss some things about your time in the Police, Military or Fire Service. We get that. Our owner and founder experienced the same thing leaving the Police after 14 years service. exServices Recruitment is all about taking your skills and service that you have built up and transferring that into civilian employment.

If you are looking for a new role, what is your next step?

  1. Make sure you get all your documents in order before you leave.
  2. Get a CV together – don’t worry if you haven’t got one. There is a free template to download at the bottom of this page.
  3. Make sure you get an accurate copy of your service record or Certificate of Service. It is a valuable recognition of your service.
  4. If you got certificates or qualifications while in the service, make sure you have copies of them and attach them to your CV. Things like First Aid, tertiary courses, specialist quals….they all count.
  5. Sort out a couple of references – people who will vouch for your skills and work ethic. Speak to them before you put their name in your CV!

Once you have finished that and are ready, get in touch with exServices Recruitment. If you have any questions about the process get in touch as well.
