Why Jobomas and Indeed.com won't work for you

Some of you may have noticed job advertisements for Superior Personnel popping up in unusual places......websites like Jobomas and Indeed.com. While this might seem like a good thing at first glance, it isn't.

These websites "lift" our job ads off our website and Trade Me Jobs and Seek. They then place them on their sites without our permission and use that to presumably help drive advertising revenue for themselves. Superior Personnel aren't the only recruiter this happens to it seems.

You can't call these websites up to discuss if the role is right for you or get more information about the role being advertised.

The big downside for candidates is that they get their hopes up and apply for the role, not knowing that it may be for a position in Waikato or Auckland only. In fact, most often these website relist our advertisements and the role has been filled or isn't in the town they say it is.

In the past week we have had to break the news to applicants about roles they applied for on Indeed or Jobomas, that weren't in the places they live and are looking to work.

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to stop this practice of "lifting" our job ads.

Our strong advice is to stick to reputable websites such as www.superiorpersonnel.co.nz or see our job ads on Trade Me and Seek. That way you can be guaranteed that the role you are applying for is in the place you are looking to work.

Feel free to give us a call at Superior Personnel on 0508 SUPERIOR to discuss any jobs you see.
