Machine Operator / Hoist - logging (23/09RS)

Experienced Forkhoist Operator – Log Clamp & Container Loading Christchurch | Full Time | Monday – Friday $30.00 – $32.00 per hour (plus 8% holiday pay accrued)

We are looking for a skilled, safety-conscious Forkhoist Operator to join our tight-knit team on a large-scale yard in Christchurch. If you have rock-solid experience handling heavy, awkward loads and thrive in a busy yard environment, this is the consistent, rewarding role you’ve been looking for.

The Role This is a fast-paced role on a large site where accuracy and safety are paramount. You will be:

• Operating a large forkhoist fitted with a log clamp attachment.
• Safely moving, stacking, and managing logs across the yard.
• Loading and devanning containers efficiently to meet daily transport schedules.
• Working collaboratively within a small, efficient crew to keep the site moving safely.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• A current F Endorsement and OSH Forklift Certificate.
• Proven experience operating heavy forklifts with clamp attachments (log handling experience is highly regarded).
• Solid experience with container loading and securing freight.
• A strong, proactive commitment to health and safety protocols.
• A reliable, "can-do" attitude—you must be a genuine team player who is happy to help out where needed.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a clean drug/alcohol screening.
