Project Manager - Water

We are currently seeking an experienced Water Project Manager who has the desire to work on a diverse range of projects, Auckland wide.

Experience required: 

  • 2 + years previous experience in Infrastructure contractual projects
  • Sound knowledge in contract management
  • Staff coordination and management
  • High level of communication skills that create clear and concise outcomes for both the company and our contract obligations
  • Understanding of the RMA and other environmental practices within our contracts
  • NZS 3910 – relating to the current Conditions of Contract for principal/contractor obligations
  • New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Civil)
  • Health & Safety to Level 4 (Operate Safe – Silver)
  • Relevant and appropriate driver licenses

  • Good record keeping, documentation skills
  • Develops and flexibly adapts plans to meet business needs
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and schedule work output – time management
  • Ability to multi task is essential
  • Ability to foster a co-operative work environment
  • Ability to analyse, establish and maintain efficient team that create quality outcomes
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients
  • Experience in contractual documentation, NZS 3910 and NEC contracts
  • Have good attention to detail – produce professional documents
  • Be able to operate under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated work scheduling, problem-solving and hazard identification and management
  • Interested in helping others develop and use skills
  • Resilience – able to put in effort over long periods of time and make decisions under pressure


Typically this role requires you to work Monday to Friday either night or day, including occasional weekend work (Saturday mornings and/or Sunday afternoons).

In addition there is occasional night work, meaning flexibility and adapting to changes is essential. 

Salary commensurate upon experience.
