Qualified Maintenance Electrician Required

The Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician to join their team.  They would be responsible but not limited to the following:

  • Based at the Hamilton plant
  • Flexible work hours
  • PLC programs, systems and electrical equipment maintenance
  • Monthly inspections, maintenance and records to be completed for building warrant of fitness.
  • Test and tag annually all electrical equipment in accordance with EWR standards.
  • Provide hands on diagnose, repair and/or replace of electrical equipment.
  • Inspect, service and maintain production equipment for continued reliability.
  • Assist with co-ordination of projects with IT team.
  • Work closely with all external contractors, supervisors and other key stakeholders.
  • Fully document plant electrical spare parts and ensure they are maintained and in working order for swap overs.
  • Maintain and certify electrical equipment to NZ electrical standards.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Registered NZ Industrial Electrician with current NZ certification/tickets 
  • Experienced with pumps, production and refrigeration equipment.
  • PLC diagnostic experience essential 
  • IT background/knowledge preferred
  • Problem solver to find equipment or systems faults.
  • Project work experience i.e. upgrades, expansion
  • Proactive and can think outside the box.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Reliable team member and transport
  • Good sense of humour 
  • Pass pre-employment drug test.
