Senior Stock Person / Leadership role - Poultry

Poultry Farm Worker – indoor work– required in North Canterbury.

Reporting to the Site Manager and working with other members of the farm livestock team, your role will be to maximise bird health and wellbeing.

This will be achieved by providing excellent housekeeping, cleanliness and strong livestock management. Adhering to biosecurity standards is crucial.

Close to Rangiora, this role is a temp to perm position.

The shifts are 8 hours per day, following a roster that does involve working weekends.

The payrate is above minimum and there is the opportunity to increase your hourly rate going forward.

Working in the barn, duties will include:

• Checking on livestock (Chickens)
• Monitoring machinery and equipment
• Filling in check sheets
• Being on call for alarms

Being mechanically minded would be a definite advantage.

Forklift license is desirable.

This is a perfect opportunity for someone to make this role their own.

You may be required to undergo drug screening for this role.

Due to Biosecurity Regulations, you cannot live with birds, any kind of poultry or pigs.
