Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager


Our client is a leading landscape design, build, maintenance and environmental consultancy firm in Auckland that is searching for a Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager to join their team.

You will be responsible for:

  • Completing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and Tender Attributes packages
  • Oversee project delivery according to budget, program and specific project objectives
  • Value completed work and arrange invoicing
  • Management and supervision of assigned staff
  • Coordinate site activities and resources in conjunction with direct teams, sub-contractors, engineers and site managers
  • Prepare and update project programs
  • Maintain and report actual versus forecasted costs
  • Preparation of monthly reports, including identification of areas of opportunity
  • Ensure all Time, Quality, Safety, Relationship and Environmental requirements are documented and implemented
  • Maintaining existing and helping to develop new client relationships

The ideal candidate will ideally have the following skills:

  • Experience with quantity surveying in the landscape or construction sectors
  • A diploma in Quantity Surveying or a Bachelor of Construction or similar qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Outlook
  • Strong people skills, both leading staff and engaging with clients
  • Experience in running and fully delivering multiple projects in the commercial arena
  • Previous exposure to handling high specification projects, on time budget delivery and costings
  • Strong communication skills and excellent client communication skills
  • High level of organisational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of Corecon Construction Management Program will be an advantage
