Security Coordinator

Contract

Applications are sought for the position of Security Co-ordinator. A 40 hour per week, 12 month fixed term role based in South Auckland.

The Security Co-ordinator will take a lead role to address antisocial behaviour and perceived social issues impacting on town centre safety to improve local citizen’s perceptions of safety around the town centre and surrounding areas. This will be achieved through the implementation of local crime prevention initiatives with local social and enforcement services.


Reporting to the town centre manager, applicants should be able to provide evidence of previous experience with and the ability to: 

  • Work as an effective member of a team
  • Demonstrate personal discipline in regards to time management and prioritisation of tasks
  • Provide excellent friendly customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Identify and provide effective solutions for areas of improvement
  • Professional conduct when dealing with difficult, aggressive or abusive persons & communicate effectively both verbally and in writing ensuring the intended message is received and understood.

This would suit either a self-employed security contractor or someone with previous experience in a similar security role. 

Computer literacy, an intermediate to advanced knowledge of and use of Microsoft Office and also that of a full NZ Class 1 driver licence are essentials for this role.
