The Power of Perseverance

First things first.......congratulations to Leicester City Football Club - English Premier League Champions! When you look at their success this year there are some remarkable points that serve as a lesson to us all, both in business, career and personal life.

• They are the only first-time champion in the Premier League since Nottingham Forrest in 1978
• They started the season at 5000:1 odds - wouldn't it have been great to put a lazy $10 on that!
• This is Leicester City's first top flight title in 132 years
• They were playing in Tier 2 and almost bankrupt two years ago
• They almost got relegated from the Premier League last season

These things combined mean there is a lot of merit in the hype that this is the biggest ever triumph by an under-dog in any sport. Congratulations to Coach Claudio Ranieri, Captain Wes Morgan, Football Player of the Year Jamie Vardy and the entire Leicester City squad.

Their win is a reminder to persevere in all things, when you get knocked down or things seem at their darkest, get back up and keep fighting. Have a goal, no matter how unlikely or improbable it seems (even at 5000:1 nobody would really have believed this possible at the start of the season). Finally, celebrate your successes and have fun on the journey.
