Food Safety Quality - Food lab Tech (2/4RS)

We are recruiting for an award-winning, fast-growing Kiwi dairy company on a mission to make the world’s best yoghurt, and we need a Quality Officer to join their fearless team!

**The Gig**
This is a full-time shift position reporting directly to the Quality Manager.
You’ll be the front-line support for our factory team, ensuring every batch that leaves our doors is nothing short of perfection.

**What You’ll Be Doing:**
- Testing & Analysis: Perform physical, chemical, and microbiological checks on everything from raw materials to finished products.
- Factory Support: Conduct sanitation verifications, monitor chemical concentrations, and troubleshoot production processes.
- Compliance & Labs: Manage lab inventory, maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and handle all audit requirements.
- Equipment Care: Calibrate and troubleshoot technical gear like milk analysers, pH meters, and thermometers.
- Training: Lead the charge in staff training for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

**Who You Are:**
- Qualified: You have a tertiary qualification in Science or Food Science.
- Experienced: You’ve got a background in food manufacturing and food safety.
- Tech Savvy: You’re comfortable with Microsoft Office and have a knack for technical instruments.
- A Proactive Peer: You’re a self-starter who rolls up their sleeves, works well with minimal supervision, and builds strong relationships across the board.
- Availability : You are able to step in , sometimes with short notice and have some flexibility with your hours . There are some weeks where you may need to work Saturday .
