Our Client is a well recognised textile manufacturer based in South Auckland. This is a true market leader providing ongoing staff training to meet unit standards and provide increased knowledge and higher pay for their employees.

We are seeking an experienced and physically fit storeperson to join the warehouse team. This hands-on role is responsible for the efficient receipt, unloading, and inventory management of incoming materials, ensuring manufacturing operations are consistently supplied with the backing materials and yarn required. The successful candidate will bring strong forklift skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to lead by example on the floor.

Duties include;
• Operate hoist equipment including forks and probe attachments safely and efficiently
• Unload and load pallets from containers and trucks
• Unload and load rolls from containers and trucks
• Clear import containers in a timely and organised manner
• Maintain accurate backing inventory levels to meet manufacturing requirements
• Liaise with 3PL warehousing providers to coordinate call-ins of yarn and backing materials
• Provide clear, professional verbal and written communication with internal teams and external suppliers
• Support and provide cover for the wider Warehouse team as required
• Maintain compliance with MPI (Ministry for Primary Industries) requirements, including acting as an Approved Person (AP)
• Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures, particularly around heavy lifting and equipment operation

Preferably you will have experience loading and unloading pallets & hold an MPI certificate. Team leading experience would be a bonus.
