We are seeking a professional operator to safely transport high-value structural steel components from our yard to various construction sites across New Zealand.

What You Will Do:

• Precision Driving: Operate Class 5 heavy combination vehicles and Class 4 trucks with HIAB setups.
• Over-Dim Loads: Maneuver trombone trailers and oversized cargo through tight urban and highway routes.
• Load Security: Take full responsibility for securing heavy steel loads using chains and NZTA-compliant restraints.
• Site Coordination: Collaborate with yard personnel and crane teams for seamless loading and unloading.
• Compliance & Safety: Complete pre-start checks, maintain accurate logbooks, and champion site health and safety protocols

What You Bring:

• Licensing: A current, clean NZ Class 5 Driver's License.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of heavy vehicle experience, ideally within steel, construction, or engineering.
• Technical Skill: Confident reversing in tight spaces, managing jack-knife risks, and using various gearboxes.

*Physical Fitness: Capability to handle the physical demands of chaining down massive steel structures.
*Reliability: A punctual, proactive attitude with a professional on-site presence.

• Visa Status: You must currently hold NZ Residency/Citizenship or have at least 2+ years remaining on a valid NZ work visa.
