We are looking for an enthusiastic person with energy and drive to join our friendly team.

The purpose of the role would be to assist the Transport manager.

Ideally you would have;

  • Relevant supervisory or management experience 
  • Knowledge and handling of freight operations would be an advantage
  • Excellent management and planning skills
  • Excellent Communications Skills

Ideally you will have a significant Transport background and understand the dynamics of the industry.

You will have strong communication skills so that you get along well with our dispatcher and driving team to ensure they are aware of what is planned for them, as well as being able to build rapport with sub-contractors to assist us in peak times.

There is data entry in this role so Computer Skills are required.

Forklift experience, a class four truck licence and basic mechanical knowledge would be advantageous.

Teamwork is vital so we definitely want somebody who is a team player and is prepared to help the others.

You will have the ability to think fast, often making decisions to assist customers while they wait on the phone, and you aren’t a person who gets flustered too easily.

If you are looking to transition from a driving role or are currently in a dispatch role and looking to take the next step up then this may be the role for you.

You will have fresh ideas and won’t be afraid to make suggestions and give things a go with your Can-Do Positive attitude.

4 am starts to 3pm finish approximately. The hours may vary depending on what’s happening. Monday to Saturday, days off can be negotiated.
