Freight (fork) Loader -(FAK) 2pm start (13/10RS)

Full time, Contract/Temp

As an experienced freight loader you will be checking inwards goods, moving product onto pallets, checking outgoing orders, & loading / unloading trucks.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will be physically fit and hold a current counterbalance fork hoist license, & have experience working in transport and logistics environment.

Preference is with those who have experience with :

  • Freight loading and unloading
  • Use / Experience of Multi pallet handles Hoists - using attachments for - ie paper clamps etc .
  • Cross dock in transport environments


Shift times - :

  • Monday to Friday | 2 pm - 10 pm | 45- 50 hours per week



Duties:

  • Freight sorting and loading : ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner
  • Handling a wide range of freight
  • General yard duties , including devanning
  • Warehouse Housekeeping


Skills needed:

  • FAK ( freight all kind ) experience
  • Current OSH fork licence
  • Able to lift 25kg
  • Prior long fork experience (preferred)
  • Must be able to stay calm under pressure
  • Must be very safety conscious
  • Must have worked in a transport and logistics environment previously
