Gas Technician (11/07RS)

About this role :

• Involves the technician installing gas wells in the landfill, raising gas extraction wells to align with landfill operations and optimise the gas captured and carrying out maintenance on the wells regularly to ensure efficient gas capture.
• Must regularly monitor the performance of each gas well and adjust the flow in accordance with current best practise to maximise safe gas extraction.
• Responsible for the installation, maintenance and on occasion removal of both above ground and buried gas reticulation systems which connect every well back to the extraction facility.

Experience and Knowledge
• Mechanical Engineering, automotive or building academy experience
• Previous experience with plastic welding

This is a full time (40 hours a week, Monday to Friday) permanent role paying between $30-$35 per hour – commensurate upon experience .
