The Company

Do you have a passion for people and logistics? We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader to join the team as a Team Leader, based at the Auckland Distribution Centre.

The role

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supervise, Lead, manage, and organize an outbound department team, and monitor productivity
  • Maintaining and overseeing inventory supplies - responsible for retail store allocation & replenishment, pick location storage and replenishment, packing, potential future outbound VAS, and shipping to fulfil customer expectations
  • Promote Health and Safety in accordance with the company policy
  • Managing inwards and outwards goods by receiving, storing, assembling, and dispatching items
  • Secure efficiency and smooth operations in a cost-efficient way and according to the company’s operational & sustainability standards
  • Understand the features of the systems used in the warehouse
  • Ensure the warehouse areas are always kept clean and functional
  • Stock management and control, counting and conducting stock takes
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members
  • Identifying risks and issues in daily DC inbound & outbound department teams and report to Operations Manager
  • Responsible for all planning and reporting to secure daily operations
  • Prepare and maintain a variety of reports, schedules, and logs

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience as a Team Leader in the warehousing industry is essential
  • Good operational DC inbound & outbound experience across stores
  • Strong written, verbal and co-ordination skills
  • Hands-on approach for pragmatic day-to-day workflow management and problem resolution
  • Forklift/hoist licenses are an advantage
  • Understanding of outbound processes and garment flow
  • Good understanding of warehouse management system
  • Knowledgeable in operational outbound logistics standards, as well as department sustainability targets

Days Monday to Friday, however the role requires some flexibility with days and hours – some Saturday’s included around the busy periods.

Hours The hours are on a rotating bases with the other team leaders. Either 6am-2:30pm or 8am-4:30pm.
