Operations Co-ordinator


Our valued Client who currently audits Health & Safety within the Forestry Industry is looking for an Operations Co-ordinator.

You will be required to travel to sites and carry out Health and Safety Audits on logging / harvesting crews to ensure companies are Health & Safety compliant. This may also include “new site start-ups” for the logging / harvesting crews.

Initially this work will be carried out in the Mid / North Canterbury Area.

After an initial training period you will be required to work unsupervised and therefore must be well organised, trustworthy and reliable. You will also need to be a good communicator with people skills.
As this role progresses you would be expected to travel away up to 2 to 3 nights per month.

We are looking for someone who:
• Is working in forestry or has previous forestry experience
• Has been a foreman - supervision experience would be a definite advantage
• Has traffic management experience – not essential as training can be given

This role will also include some computer and administration work.

A vehicle, phone and computer will be provided by the company, however if you wish to use your own vehicle (must be suitable) the company will pay mileage.
When there is stay away work reasonable travel expenses will be paid by the company.

Grow with the role:
This is a new position and will initially be 2 to 3 days a week. However, the company envisions quick growth.

You will be working in a Drug and Alcohol free work environment and must be willing to undertake random drug and alcohol testing as required.
