Production Operator - Dairy Industry experience (7/9RS)

We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Production Operator to join our client's tight-knit team and help drive the production room forward.

They are an innovative, growing New Zealand food and beverage company dedicated to making fresh, high-quality dairy products. Their focus is on efficiency, consistent product standards, and absolute excellence in food safety and hygiene.

**The Role**
In this busy, hands-on role, you will be responsible for ensuring our production runs smoothly, efficiently, and to exact specifications. You will work closely with the production room team leader and a passionate team to meet our weekly manufacturing schedules.


**Key Responsibilities**

  • Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and clean processing machinery, including the pasteuriser, blender, milk separator, cooling systems, pumps, and heat exchangers.
  • Equipment Assembly: Clean and assemble plant components (valves, fittings, plates, bowls, and discs) with standard hand tools to prepare for daily production
  • Hygiene & Compliance: Execute Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems across all dairy plant equipment and accurately complete compliance logs.
  • Quality Assurance: Strictly maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while collecting product samples for laboratory analysis.
  • Health & Safety: Maintain safe working habits, use required personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly, and actively report workplace hazards.


**What We Are Looking For**

  • Previous experience in food, beverage, or dairy manufacturing
  • Heat treatment , in a dairy factory or environment - NZQA Unit Standard 20005 (Operate a heat treatment process in a dairy processing operation )
  • Fork hoist experience or license
  • A strong commitment to high safety, hygiene, and product quality standards.
  • Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to precisely document workflows and log daily paperwork.
  • Excellent team communication, a positive attitude, and solid problem-solving skills.
  • Reliability, absolute punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • A full, clean NZ Driver's Licence is preferred - so F endorsement can be added
